Mist maker - This product will produce clouds of fog in your tank, giving a really fantastic appearance. If used properly they are a great accent to your tank, but you should be aware of the following points before purchasing this unit, in particular if you are purchasing it to use in a dart frog terrarium!

1- This unit will kill frogs and lizards which get into the water it is operating in ! The unit must be housed in a water reservoir that is enclosed with screen or a grate to prevent your frogs from getting in to it.

2- The unit will work best and last longer if it is operated intermittently for “atmospheric effects”, in other words, for you to look at, not for the frogs benefit! The device has a ceramic disc that vibrates at a high speed to produce the fog, and these wear out. Replacements are available, and are inexpensive, but changing the disc will be a bit of a hassle, since you will have to build the fogger into some sort of reservoir in the floor of your tank. I suggest you plug the unit into a power strip and switch it on when you want to see the “magic fog”!

3- The units are tricky to get to work perfectly, they require just the right level of water, so be prepared to tinker with it a bit to get it to work right.

All in all this is a very good product if you understand what you are getting!

Algae Tadpole Food

Human grade Spirulina and Chlorella are the food of choice for the tadpoles at Saurian Enterprises. These algaes offer high protien and a complete diet for your tadpoles. Because there are no animal products to rot and foul the water, water changes are not needed as frequently. This food goes a long way, and two ounces will probably last the average hobbyist with a few tadpoles now and then for a couple of years.

Lighting

Power compact lighting is probably the best way to achieve high intensity lighting in your small and medium size terrarium. The 55 watt kits we offer are easy to install, and offer lots of lumens per watt. The bulb in the reflector will require 22” of space length wise, and about 3 inches of clearance. These kits install easily with a screwdriver and a drill. Kits include high performance reflectors, and top quality parts to make assembly a snap, and the performance is topnotch. The single kit will light a 20 – 30 gallon tank well, and the 2x 55 watt kit should be used for larger tanks.

Terrarium Ventilation

Whether you want to provide a little air movement for your terrarium and its inhabitants, or you are looking to cool down the canopy over your frog tank, these fans will do the trick. We offer two sizes. For use ventilating a tank, you might consider either putting the fan on its own powerstrip and turning it on and off when you want to, or putting it on a digital timer that will run it for twenty minutes every hour or two. Using these methods, you can develop a schedule that will keep the tank from drying out

Higher out put 3 to 4 inch fan with power supply that you will need to wire nut (included) to fan. This is the size for cooling your tanks canopy and its a good size for ventilating a larger terrarium, one or two will do the job for tanks up to 90 gallons. $12
