This high out put light fixture includes one 6500 k bulb and a reflector. The engineered German made reflector makes all the difference, assuring that the light is all going where you want it, into the tank!! This light will produce almost twice as much total light as a comparable size t-12 light bulb (the old fatter fluorescent light bulbs).  A 24" t-12  bulb is rated at 1200 lumens, the 24" t-5 is rated at 2000 lumens.  The results are even better if you compare the usable out put, the polished aluminum reflector allows the fixture to produce something like three times the usable light in your tank, compared to one of the old 24 inch aquarium light fixtures.
