This is a newer form of D. auratus, having been brought in for the first time in the past five years. This Panamanian beauty is one of the more unusual forms of D. auratus. The contrast is not as apparent in young frogs, but as adults they develop the fantastic pattern! Unfortunately they are fairly shy, as is typical of the darker auratus forms.
